RESIDENTS from across Doncaster are clambering to take part in a week of Community Art Workshops at Cusworth Hall next month.
The workshops, covering a wide variety of artistic styles and mediums, have returned following their success last summer and nearly all of the limited places have already been snapped up by enthusiastic amateur artists.

There are a few precious pl
aces remaining for a one-day lino printing workshop with local artist Graham Firth on Tuesday August 12 and for the landscapes workshop with Neil McGregor on Friday August 15, which will look at how artists like Thomas Gainsborough and Alexander Cozens created landscapes in their studios using a variety of methods.

The cost for the Litho Printing workshop is £24 or £16 concession. The workshop runs from 10.30am - 3.30pm and all required materials will be provided.

The landscapes workshop can be booked as either a half-day or whole day at a cost of £12 or £8 concession. Workshop session times are 10.30am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm and all materials will be provided.

Included in the cost of the sessions is a parking permit for the car park at Cusworth Hall, Museum and Park. This will be issued at the same time as the workshop ticket.

Anyone wanting to join in should call 01302 734293 to book a place.

Payment can be made by cash or cheque, but not by credit or debit card and must be made at Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery on Chequer Road and not at Cusworth Hall.
